Remember me??
Yeah! Me! I'm still here! LOL!
I've read a few books since I last posted, but not many actually. And I'm too tired to actually pull the Amazon links for them right now. Eh ... maybe another day.
Anyway, I actually started to knit again. Shocking really. I am 90% done with making 2 hats, and I even started a blanket. I have plans to give some gifts for Christmas of knitted things ... so I figured I had to start now to even attempt to try to pull that off. We'll see.
Hopefully pictures of the hat will be coming soon ... really I just wanted to pop in to say hi.

Last weeks reads:
Runaway Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverini .... very nice. I think though that there is only one more book left in the series. I'll be so sad :-(
Secrets of the Code by Dan Burstein. Interesting ... made me think, made me wonder, I loved Da Vinci Code so I had to read this one. And speaking of Dan Brown, apparently the next book is coming out next year sometime. I'm excited and can't wait! LOL
Armageddon and Glorious Appearing by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. Yeah, didn't end with quite the bang I thought it would. I'm glad I finished the series though ... but now it's time for different books!
and of course ...
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling. I'm one of those people who got it at midnight. I finished it yesterday. Much, much, much better than the 5th book (I think the 5th book is by far the absolute worst acctually LOL!). I've already been discussing the book with at least one person ... which is great =)

Okay, I finished The Queen's Fool: A Novel by Philippa Gregory. As with her other book, I loved it! I couldn't put it down ... it was sooooo good! I have another of her books on hold at the library just awaiting it to come in!
Also read:
The Cross Country Quilters by Jennifer Chiaverini ... as with the first 2 quilting books, this was wonderful. This book, however, was about a different group of woman than the first two books. I liked them, but I want to read about the original group some more and continue with this new group! LOL
Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons by Lorna Landvik. I liked it a lot. I was sad at the sad parts and happy at the happy parts! LOL!
Really, I think I know why I enjoy the quilt series and the AHEB so much ... it's becuase it was woman who were part of a group. I wish I had a book club like in AHEB. I wish I had a quilting group like in Chiaverini's books. I think that's why I'm so taken with them honestly!
I have about 8 books from the library sitting at home, so hopefully I'll get some more good reading done! =)

A few more reads ...
Okay, read some more books! LOL!
First of all, finished Shadow Divers and I absolutely loved it!! It was so good.
Also read:
The Simple Faith of Mister Rogers by amy Hollingsowrth. Yeah, it was okay. I loved Mr. Rogers growing up, this made me love him more, but I don't know that I loved the writing style so much, if that makes any sense at all?
Round Robin by Jennifer Chiaverini ... better than the first book in the series! I had to request the third book and it will be ready for pick-up tomorrow (yeah!)
Desecration: Antichrist Takes the Throne (Book 9) and The Remnant: On the Brink of Armageddon (Book 10) by Jim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins ... almost done with the series now. I admit book 9 made me feel like it was all dragging but it sped up in book 10 thankfully! LOL!
Currently reading
The Queen's Fool: A Novel by Philippa Gregory ... I've read her other book and LOVED it and so far this is starting off just as well!

Reading Report ...
Well, I haven't managed to do anything else, but I have managed to read a ton. Mostly becuase reading I can do lying down with ease and it's easy to do outside when it's 90 degrees! LOL!!
Anyway, since I haven't done anything in several months but reading, I'm going to write a list of what I've read since it's about all I have to talk about anymore! LOL!
The Taking by Dean Koontz ... didn't like it!
False Memory by Dean Koontz .... better than the other one!
Sole Survivor by Dean Koontz ... so-so
Frankenstein: Book One The Prodigal Son by Dean Koontz (what can I say, my aunt is in love with Koontz and brought me a bunch of her books to borrow! LOL!) ... now this one, I didn't think I would like it, but I can NOT wait for book two to come out (soon too!)
Valhala Rising by Clive Cussler ... hooked me!
The Indwelling (book 7) by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins ... I love this series
The Mark (book 8) by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins ... book 9 is sitting in my TBR pile!
The Splitting Storm by Rene Gutteridge ... okay
(I read another book here, but for the life of me can't remember the title!)
The Piano Teacher by Lynn York ... okay
Quilter's Apprentice by Jennifer Chiaverini ... so good! 2nd book in the series is in my TBR pile!
Bee Season by Myla Goldberg ... it was so-so
Black Wind by Clive Cussler with Dirk Cussler - good
And I'm about 85% done with
Shadow Divers by Robert Kurson ... I am LOVING this book! LOL!
In the TBR Pile:
Jacob's Ladder: The History of the Human Genome by Henry Gee
Desecration: Antichrist Takes the Throne and The Remnant by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins
Round Robin: An Elm Creek Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverini
The Queen's Fool by Phillipa Gregory

Still missing ...
Still trying to get over all the illness. Still not doing anything these days. I was supposed to teach knitting on Sunday, but the class was cancelled. Although it wasn't cancelled by me, I was thankful anyway!
I'm approaching the end of the first trimester, and just starting to feel a bit better, so I hope that I continue to feel better so I can get working on projects again! =)

MIA ...
Sorry, I've been MIA.
I haven't been knitting.
I haven't been sewing.
I haven't been scrapbooking.
I haven't been doing anything.
Well, that's not true .... I have been doing my more than fair share of sleeping. I have also been throwing up (although that's under control finally I think).
You see, surprises of all surprises I found out I'm expecting ... due in December - December 12 to be exact.
However, this baby is kicking my butt already. You'd think after having 2, I'd know how to handle this whole pregnancy thing, but this is by far the most horrid morning sickness experience I have yet to feel. My first two were not like this at all.
Ugh.
But, I'm happy, and excited, and just counting down the days to the second trimester, when hopefully this will all end.
Even dh said something like "You really must be sick because I haven't seen you working on any crafts lately"
Here's hoping I'm back soon!

Always call ahead ....
So today I figured would be my day to venture to the LYS. Found out it's only .7 of a mile away (but tucked in an area I've never been before hence I never noticed it LOL!)
So 2 year old goes in the stroller, 5 year old walks besides me ... and off we set to walk there. The weather was gorgeous and I hate to drive such a little distance LOL! So we get there and hte hours are something like 10-3 everyday. But then there is a handwritten sign that says "Store will be closed on Mondays starting ..." some day before today!
Bummer. I wanted to go in too. Oh well, at least I know where it is now. And the walk was nice. Also, the local Jewel was only a few blocks away (towards home) so we ended up stopping there and getting some nice yummies!
Anyway, didn't end up doing hardly any knitting today. Still plugging along on the knitted dress for my 2 year old (although I'm having very inconsistent tension @@), started some socks for my 2 year old (out of what was left from my 5 year old's socks) and yesterday I picked up some yarn to start another blanket!

In search of ...
a knitting pattern appropriate for a little boy that might be a going home from the hospital outfit.
It seems that everything is made for little girls. I don't even want it to be free (although that could be nice too LOL!)
I think I need to finally travel over to the LYS and see if they have anything for me to use. If anyone reading this has any ideas ... please, please, let me know! LOL!

Finished pair!
I am done with the pair of socks now. They were made with Lion Brand Magic Stripes, denim stripes.
The finished socks. The only bummer is that on her left sock, the color after the blue was red ... you can see I had to finish the sock with a bit of red there. It's because I messed up the kitchner stitch (I did a few purls/knits backwards) and was too lazy to go back adn finish, becuase she is 5 afterall and I was so excited to be done with them!
Another shot (ignore her little bruise there ... we've been busy running around outdoors and her poor legs are covered :-( )

Hardly any ...
progress these days.
We've had super gorgeous weather so I've been outside with the kids a ton. Then it seems that when we do come in, I'm trying to clean, do laundry, cook, etc ... all the things I neglected while playing outside!!
I do have one sock completely done for my 5 year old (looks magnificent I think too!) and the match about half-way done. When they are both finished I'll snap some pictures to share.
I have not sewn anything :-( And I've only added a few more rows to the dress I'm making (sorry Christina ... you will probably be waiting longer than you expected to see how it looks!)
Oh well ... apparently we have some rain coming in the next few days so maybe I'll catch up on a few things then ;-) I hope ... I can't imagine waiting until September to start finishing projects again ROFL!!!

Fabric shopping ...
Not too long ago ... maybe a month and a half or so ago? I bought tons of fabrics. I made sure some of them coordinated so I could use them together for the same item. And today I began to cut pieces for an outfit I need to make that will be a birthday present and the party is Sunday!
But then I realized, in the middle of cutting, that the 2 fabrics I bought to create this outfit look horid together! LOL! I'm not even exagerating! I don't know if it is the lighting or what but I can't understand how I ever thought they matched! LOL!
So off to the store I went to buy coordinating fabric that really matched. But of course, now I need to prewash it, dry it, iron it, and hten I can begin to cut it!
I really wanted to finish it tonight too!
Oh well ... I still need to seam my poncho and add fringe, and I have 2 bags with all the pieces cut out, just waiting to be sewn, and lots not forget hte sock and the dress I am currently knitting! So I'm sure I'll have plenty of things to do tonight and hopefully tomorrow I can finish the outfit for the birthday girl! LOL!

Ramblings ....
So, I turned the heel of the sock today and am getting ready to start the gusset. Much easier, now that I know how to pick up stitches the correct way! LOL!!! What a difference a little knowledge makes ROFL!!!
Anyway, something I was considering doing is joining the Knitting Guild of America. It seems like a pretty good deal overall. The real reason is to maybe move on and doi their master knitting program. Well, I was pretty sure I wanted to do it, until of course yesterday when I realized I was picking up stitches all wrong! No, really, I do think it's something I want to pursue. Maybe I will get a membership first and see how that goes and then over the wintertime apply to do the level 1 of the master knitting. I'm not sure. I figure if I'm teaching classes, why not go for this as well? What have I got to lose really? So, just something I'm thinking about ...
UPDATE:
I paid for my membership tonight. I will hang out on their message boards, read what people have to say, and maybe in a few months order the level I kit! I'm feeling a bit excited about this all right now! =)

Oh man!
Tonight, while reading another blog, I discovered I am "picking up stitches" in my knit work all wrong! :::sigh::: No wonder it seemed so darn hard ... it's becuase I wasn't doing it right! The good news is that the correct way to do it is sooo much easier than what I've been doing! Yikes! On the good side, nothing I've made that has required me to pick up stitches looked *wrong* doing it the way I was, but I will be happy to do it the correct way from now on! LOL!

Currently working on ....
dress I am making for my 2 year old.
The pattern was designed by my friend over at Chronicles of Yarnia. So far so good. Of course I'm not very far, and this piece is only the front (or the back!) LOL! But I think it will be cute in the end! =)
Sock I am making for my 5 year old. I had about twice this amount done yesterday when I realized I misread the pattern and had to start over! Hate it when that happens!
Also laughed today becuase someone told me they would never have the patience to make a sock when it was so much easier to go pay a couple of bucks for them at the local store! Yeah, sometimes it is easier, but I admit it, when my 5 year old asks me to make her one, comes to the store to help pick out the yarn, well ... how can I say no to that! LOL!
I also want to add, that blogger is really annoying me lately. 75% of the time the pages won't load. I can't send pictures to it without resending them several times and I know there are issues with comments.
I really hope the bugs are worked out soon, otherwise I may have to jump ship again and go somewhere else. It's frustrating ... anyway ... want to comment/say something to me and it won't work ... e-mail me at Brandie185@gmail.com!

The yellow dress ...
is finished. It looks good on the hanger.
A full shot
Close-up of collar and flowers around waist.
The collar got messed up, and well, I don't want to go back and redo it (yes, I'm lazy and I know it!) I think it will even look okay on a child, but haven't tried it on either child yet to really know!
Anyway, I'm glad it's done ... mostly becuase I started it 2 years ago I think? And it's just nice to complete it. LOL!
Up-next
*Socks for my 5 year old
*birthday present for a cousin R
*matching outfit for my 2 year old
*finish off shawl
*scarf for cousin A
*knit dress for 2 year old

More on the yellow dress ....
The eyelet lace is sewn to the underskirt here, which I know has a special name and I can't think of it right now
Here you can see the overskirt is folded backwards (it is 2 rectangles that meet in the front and the back)
And that is the effect when it's down ... just the lace and a bit of the underskirt peeking through!
I've done a dress like this before, but with a bunch of tulle under the topskirt ... but that can get not fun for a little kid to wear if you don't put in a liner (yes, I learned the hard way LOL!).
Anyway, the yellow dress is almost done, except for the collar and attaching the sleeves, but I need one thing to do that!
Baby blanket: Done!
Finished the baby blanket today. Not sure what I think of it honestly. I mean it's okay, but really, that's all. Just okay.
Close up of the square design
I am back to the shawl I started a long time ago using the Lion Brand Trellis. Looks great, but a pain to work with. I inserted a lifeline tonight becuase I've already had to frog too much of it by losing a stitch somewhere, and it's just to hard to spot errors, so this way at least I can pull it down to the life-line! LOL!!!

Crafting Update ...
Last night I did some sewing.
I would have finished the yellow dress that I want to finish, but I'm missing something for the collar, and I have nothing here that I can use in it's place ... so off to the craft store I will go soon becuase I want to finish it LOL!!
I started another dress since I couldn't finish that yellow one. I managed to get all of the 2 sleeves done! But it takes elastic and I had to do casing on it. Although it's easy, I haven't done it before so it just went a bit slow. But once I get the sleeves and the neckline done it should go pretty fast becuase I think those are the only places that take elastic!
I am about 5/8ths through the blanket - over half done which isn't bad really! I also started another scarf to send up to my friend B.
So, I'm finally back into the swing of things and feeling good about it! I'm ready to get some things done and taken care of! LOL!
And hopefully, I'll have pictures to show tomorrow =)

Started a new project ...
Working on a baby blanket! So excited as I've been wanting to start it for a while now, but had other things that I needed to do! Now I have to do two baby blankets to send out to friends, still have booties waiting to be sent out, and then I will return to the shawl I started and hopefully, then get to some sewing tha tI have been anxious to do for a while now! =)

Promised pictures ...
Just a bit later than I promised them! I haven't really made any progress this last week. I did finish a knit scarf. But that's about all! I need to finish something to keep my momentum up though LOL!!
Anyway, here are works in profress, or even some planned projects coming up!
Shawl I am knitting ...
close-up of shawl. It's using Lion Brand Trellis yarn. I'm not a fan of it to be honest! LOL!
Dress I started about one year ago! LOL! I really need to finish it!
Dress I plan to make for my 2 year old!
close-up of fabric
dress I am making for oldest (it's the one the girl is wearing on the pattern - just pretend the pink plain is where her brown is the and floral is where the pink is on her dress LOL!)
Bag I am making for a relative ... the jean on the outside, blue flowers as the liner. It will also have a pocket on the outside of it.
bag I am making for my 2 ... she loves her trains!
bed skirt I am making for my 5 ... this is how it looks now (and theoritically it could go on her bed) ... however ...
this is how I want it to look ... I want both the purple and the blue to be on it!
And here is the pile of fabric that I have been buying recently to make more fun things! LOL!
Knitting bag/knitting needle cases fabric
I also need to whip out 2 blankets (for girls quickly) and finish an outfit to make for a friend's dd. I have a lot to do! LOL!

Maybe tomorrow ...
I'll have some pictures to post! I have a lot of projects that I have *started in the last weekend! I am hoping to actually finish one or two of them this week! But if I were to make a to-do list, it would look like this:
-L's bag
-M's bag
-AR's scarf
-DL's scarf
-class scarf
-class purse
-class poncho
-A's band dress
-M's green dress and hat
-Au's birthday present
-M's quilt top
-several class samples
-Mi's baby blanket
hmmm ... not quite sure if that is enough to do or not! And after this round, I will have a million more things to add to it as well!!
When I first put in the project taskbars on the side, I had thought I would leave all the projects from one year up there, but I think I may have to start removing things that have been finished for a while now to make room for all I have to add! LOL!

About to try ...
to learn cable knit! I have been studying the instructions. I think I can do this! We'll see shortly though! But I went out and bought the cable needle, and 2 more sets of needles, and yarn to make a cardigan for me!
I literally started the gauge a few moments ago, but hopefully tonight I can take a picture of what I'm trying to make and how far I've gotten!!
Wish me luck with it! LOL!

Shopping!
Today I went shopping. Picked up 11 new sewing patterns, bunch of notions, and some fabric.
Came home and managed to prewash all the fabric and started to cut out patterns to begin putting together some dresses/outfits for the kiddos! Based on what I spent and what I can make, it will average 18.33 per outfit. Of course, that includes twice the amount of interfacing I needed to buy. And one fabric was so cute! I needed 1 yard for what I wanted to make, but ended up getting 4 just in case!
Sometimes this week, I will go shopping again to get more patterns and more fabric! And some notions I forgot to get today (or simply couldn't find).
I can't wait! My oldest is excited! She picked out the fabric for the stuff I am going to make her. And she can't wait to see how it looks! But, then again, neither can I! LOL!

Update!
The sock is done and on the foot (although the starting yarn hasn't been weaved in yet! LOL!)
Sideways view
First problem: way too wide for my foot ... look at all that extra width
Second problem: a little bit too long ... apparently I have little feet?
Sort of close up of the grafting. It wasn't that hard. It really has a rhythm to it that felt easy to me. However, you can see that it doesn't look "centered" on the sock and I don't know if that was supposed to be like that or not?
Anyway, I am pleased with the outcome for my first sock, but even if I made it's match, it would obviously not be for my foot. I'm kind of bummed that it seems so large for me. When I passed hte gusset part and started to work on the foot, it told me to go for 7.5 inches (or 2" less than desired length). My entire foot is only 8" long! So I obviously didn't go for another 7.5", but I guess I could have cut out a row or two. But I don't know how to modify the width of it and make it so both my feet couldn't fit into one sock!
Oh well .. at least I know I can do it ... now I either need to learn to modify a pattern or find another one! LOL!

Woo-hoo
The heel is turned! The pattern didn't seem to make sense, but I followed it anyway and it all clicked! Yes ... short rows finally make sense! And I am very good at the ssk stitch (one of the ones I was nervous about when I looked over the pattern).
Anyway, off to figure out the gusset ... had trouble picking up stitches along the heel flap as the pattern said I needed to have 19 picked up and I could only find 16 to do it ... but well, I found 3 more and got my 19! LOL!

Trouble ...
The sock is proving to be more difficult than I imagined.
The cuff was a breeze (other than not having consistent tension but that will get fixed through more socks! LOL!)
But the darn heel stuff is killing me here! But I'm muddling through with some help, and hopefully I will get there. So far I have only had to undo 28 stitches, which really, isn't that bad! Here's hoping it gets a bit better now!

Genius!
She's a pure genius! I never thought about moving stitches over to get it tight between the needles! I have about an inch and a half done. I can finally see it taking shape. For the first inch the stich is k1 p1 k1 p1 ... which for the first 2 rows looks pretty messy and icky, but after that it sort of takes on it shape. Now for 5 inches I have to stockinette stitch. I think after that the hard part starts ... but we'll see! I hope I can catch on pretty darn quickly!
I'm using a pattern from Lion Brand for it .... Free Knitting Pattern: MAGIC STRIPES Basic Sock It's the same pattern that came with the yarn, but if I'm not mistaken the pattern on the yarn wrapper has mistakes in it. Just to be safe, I printed off the one from their website!

Woo-hoo ...
Finished the pink blanket! Yeah! I'm so excited. I think it has turned out pretty darn nicely if I do say so myself!
Started the socks ... so far it looks not like a sock or even part of a sock, but I've only cast on adn gone around one time. So I hope that as I go, it will get easier. I don't like doing it though. It's too loose and the unused needles are flopping around and getting in the way. The baby booties I knit use the double-pointed needles, but it's after I have a base to give them shape. This doens't have that base for the shape. But, I will keep going and hopefully actually have something that kind of resmebles a sock when I'm done! LOL!

Motivation ..
Still only like halfway through the pink blanket ... however, I bought sock yarn today! So I have motivation to get finished with the blanket to start on the scoks! LOL! I wanted to also start a new blanket. I was going to be brave and try to learn the cable stitch. I have a beautiful baby blanket pattern with a matching cardigan for a little girl. I want to make it so badly! But both have the cable stitch in it.
I wish I had a scanner so I could share the picture of it - I found it in a book of knitting patterns for baby things.
I have pictures of the blanket in prgress too .. I should be posting them early next week ... but I am also hoping that by then I will be done with the blanket as well! LOL!

Finally ...
finished the purple blanket! Woo-hoo!!! I'm so excited. I think it turned out very nicely if I do say so myself! LOL!!
I have now started a pink blanket in it's place! It's going. The pink one is going faster than the purple one though. The pattern is a lot simplier so I can do huge chunks without checking the pattern a thousand times! That makes a huge difference.
The white booties are coming along ... I haven't really been working on them too much. They are my on-the-go project, and well, we haven't really been to a lot of places where I've been in a waiting room or sitting and waiting in the last week or so! They'll be finished when they are finished though!

Still working ...
on the blanket. I'm 60% of the way done and it's getting big! Definitely not a project to take on the go anymore! But I think it's looking good!
I also started another pair of booties. I'm making them white. These will be my on-the-go project while I finish the blanket at home.
Dh did bring me home some fabric this weekend, but I wasn't in a sewing mood! I know I have patterns that need to be cut out first and I don't want to cut them! LOL! Someday ... the basement is in disarray so it's hard to work down there anyway. I was thinking of moving the sewing machine to the first floor for the rest of winter (the basement is also cold). But since we are having a party here on Sunday, it doens't make sense to change it until after then! So we'll see!

Still going!
I'm not on row 55, of 157! Really, not too bad .... 1/3rd of it done in 3 days, that's pretty good! At this rate I'll be done at the end of the week ... of course, I have no plans for the blanket, so it doens't really matter.
Dh should be getting all my fabric this weekend too! Now that is something I can't wait for. Of course, if I get all my fabric back ... I will probably not finish the blanket by the end of the week because I'll get sidetracked by the sewing!

Plugging along ....
Still going on the blanket! Last night I did, undid, redid one row FOUR times before I realized I was reading the pattern wrong, and that was why I couldn't make it work. But I read wrong the same way 4 times! I was so frustrated ... I could have done 8 extra rows were it not for that error ... but thank goodness I finally figured out what the heck I was doing LOL!
Anyway that's all to update here ...

Up next ....
Working on another project .. a baby blanket!
Last night I also finished the second bootie of a pair.
Today I went to the library and checked out some books to look through. Saw lots of really cute patterns in one of them! I think I may have to buy my own copy! LOL!
Still haven't decided on which yarn to get for socks! I know, I know, it's such a small thing! But oh well! LOL!

Sew many projects ...
sew little time ;-)
The train fabric arrived yesterday. I prewashed it today. Tomorrow I will probably begin to work on it.
I am also set on making socks next. I just don't know what yarn to use!! There are soo many options out there!
I like the Knit Picks Simple Stripes KnitPicks.com : Yarn : Simple Stripes
I also like the KnitPicks.com : Yarn : Sock Garden
Of course I could always go with a Lion Brand Magic Stripes too. Oh! I just don't know!!! I don't want to buy a bunch of yarn only to discover I hate it! But at the same time, I don't want ot pay shipping on 1 or 2 skeins either!!
Well, if there is anyone reading this who has some advice to throw this way ... feel free LOL!

What next ....
I'm bored with scarves! LOL! I only have my mom's to do, and then I'll have 2 extra, that I don't know what to do with - try to sell them to people I suppose LOL!
The fabric for my youngest dd's bag hasn't arrived yet, so I can't start that.
The other green bag I was going to make, I'm not sure about anymore! We'll see.
JoAnn.com is having some sales on some yarn I want, so I think I will order a bunch and go from there. I still have my eyes set on an embroidery machine, but the deal was that I had to come up with the money to get it! So basically what that means is I need to figure out something that I can make and can sell! LOL! That or bug my husband about it sooooo much that he gets me it for my birthday or our anniversary, or if I have to wait that long, for Christmas. Which if I had to make the money myself, it probably wouldn't happen before Christmas, so I suppose either way, I'll have to wait that long! ROFL!!!
Oh well ... hopefully tomorrow I'll finish my mom's scarf, and then I'm taking a break from scarves unless someone requests me to make them one! LOL!

Bag finished! Yeah!
I did it! I finished it!
It's done!! YEAH! There is a folder there to show the size of the bag (and the folder is inserted in the pocket on the outside, only on one side though).
The side view (I put one of my kid's little blankets into it to make it look full to show the width)
A view of the inside, and if you look close you can see that hte outside pocket ends about an inch from the top of the bag.

Some updates ...
The blue scarf is done.
I started a multi-colored scarf today ... I didn't think I needed to take pictures of it, so I didn't! LOL! It's for my mom though.
The bag is almost done. If I went down now and did it, I would have it done probably in 20ish minutes, so that should get finished tomorrow ... YEAH!
I'm thinking next I would like to knit some socks ... some striped socks seem fun to me so that is what I would like to do!!
I am also anxiously awaiting dh bringing me fabrics from storage. I am very anxious to start sewing dresses for the kids for the summer/spring time. I think little girl dresses are so fun! I don't think I'll be making the diaper bag for the friends we will see for the superbowl ... maybe, but probably not ... I really have other things I want to work on right now ...then again, if dh doens't bring me the fabric from storage, maybe I will! LOL!
We'll see ...
Anyway, that's what happening in this neck of the woods ... what's happening in yours?

Blue Scarf
Bag is under way ...
As you can see from the picture's below ... I bought the fabric for Mel's bag. These colors are so bright and vibrant that I just love them! I think I have enough material to make 2 bags! LOL!!! We'll see.
I already prewashed and ironed it all, so all that is left is cutting and sewing! I'm excited - now that the fabric is ready this project will move right along!
On another front, my 2 year old wanted her train bag made yesterday! We could not find any train fabric in the stores (which was frustrating!) so we ordered some on e-bay! When we were shopping and I told her I couldn't find it, she told me to get it on the computer! LOL! Smart cookie! So hopefully that will be arriving soon enough so I find coordinating fabric for the inner lining and get her bag made too!
