Sewing project ...

I told you that I had a sewing project this week. I'm not quite done with it, but I thought I'd share my progress so far!

These are the parts I have finished:

And the purse and cell phone are in progress:

I think they are turning out so cute! These will be a present for a special one year old (her mom blogs here)

My girls are very sad I am not making this for them though - well, mostly the 7 year old but the 10 year old has tried to play with it too! LOL!

Now I must return to the sewing so that I can finish it on time! =)

I am alive over here - barely, but I am.

Life got busy and then last week was a lot of bad things followed by a lot of bad things.

So I haven't had much time to create/knit/sew/crochet anything lately. Which makes me so sad - but yet so glad we survived our bad week.

In the last 7 days: 4/5 of us have had a very bad stomach virus (3 of us are still suffering from it in some form as I type this), 4 yo visited urgent care, his pediatrician, then had an overnight stay in the hospital. He also is sporting 4 stitches in his ear. We felt an earthquake. We had a snow storm (although it wasn't that bad compared to what hit the East coast). My car had almost $1000 of repairs on it. We discovered the 7yo needs glasses, and her foot inserts came in from the podiatrist (we found out she needed those 1 1/2 weeks ago - also when she went in to be treated for a wart on her foot and we realized we needed to get her into a neurologist).

Um, yeah, it's been quite the week. I am praying, hoping, and wishing that this week is just completely boring, filled with lots of knitting (yes, I did join the ravelympics - did you?!) and watching the Olympics on tv, and cuddling with my kiddos. Hopefully as the week progresses I'll have lots of great photos to show you - I am hoping to completely finish one sweater and make significant progress on another, not to mention I have a fun sewing project coming up that has to be done by Friday!

Also, Happy Valentine's Day. I hope yours is much healthier than ours! =)
