This is like a true slump! I went to Hobby Lobby this weekend and came home empty handed. Although my dh was glad to not see me carry in a million bags, even he looked shocked! My dds asked me how come I didn't buy anything. I usually go in order to find one thing, and come home with a bunch of extras. My husband laughs at me because I will tell him "I'm running to Hobby Lobby to get one thing, I'll be back soon." And he likes to say "No you won't! But go and have fun and try not to bankrupt us!"
::sigh::
I think things will get better as soon as my baby boy doesn't desire to be held all day - which I am hoping will happen soon. I think by the time I have held him most of the day (all 19 pounds of him - and yes, he is exactly 4 months old today and so we can safely call him a big baby!) and after nursing, honestly, I don't have a lot of desire to do much of anything except crawl into bed and go to sleep!
If I came home empty-handed, my husband would call that a miracle, not a slump. Or else he'd call 911 and say, "Yeh, uh, I don't know what's wrong with my wife. She just walked in the door from JoAnn's without any bags...'''
ReplyDelete"Is she breathing normally?"
"No. Normally she's hyperventilating about all these great deals she got and how spending $54.75 really saved us $67.95."
"Is she conscious?"
"Um...let me check...appears to be."
"Is she frowning?"
"Yes, she is frowning."
"Sir, no need to worry. That's called Crafting Slump. Occasionally crafters who have OD'ed on projects lately, or have 23 projects in their head but only 7 in the works, get this syndrome. They get over it. I'll be here for you again, Sir, when that happens. Meanwhile, enjoy living in the black for a while and having your wife go to bed when you do."
