So many things ...

to share .. and I left my camera in the car! Big bummer.
Anyway, last week was my first quilting class. I have something to show - once I get the camera in the house ;-)
I am making good progress on the ballet sweater. But I paused it to make an Irish Hiking Scarf for my mother. She goes on a cruise to Alaska on Sunday. I started today. Yeah, gonna have to get working on that one!!
I'm also looking at lots of quilt patterns, trying to decide which one to make my first quilt. My youngest sister has requested she recieve my second quilt. Yeah ... maybe I'll start a wedding quilt for her (she's 13 now, but I'm guessign that's about as long as it will take me LOL!!) We'll see!!
I also have some sewing projects to do ... ay caramba! As they say ... sew many things to make, soo little time to do it all in ;-)

Colorweek: Tuesday

Cuckoo Clock

This clock hangs in our family room. It is a real cuckoo clock that you have to pull the things down to make it work. Then a little bird comes out on the house and says "cuckoo." I love it. And it's a family thing - been in the family for a LONG time. I recently told grannie that I would like to have it someday if no one else in the family had requested it (which no one has - so maybe!!). I have no picture of the bird because in the summer when we have doors open, the wind messes it up and makes it not work right. Bummer :-(

Project Spectrum: May

So for May I decided to join the postcard swap.
I was paired with Paula (which every go over there and wish her congrats on her very quickly approaching wedding!)

Instead of doing a postcard I did a whole card ...

Flowers: my favorite part

It was a lot of fun! I'm glad I did it =)
I'm sitting out June's swap, but may jump in for July ... depends on how crazy things are around here =)

As promised ....

Completed scarf on my 6 year old, who yes, does have a flair for drama!

I also want to add, I did do a project spectrum for May - I just haven't posted pictures yet as I'm not sure my postcard swap pal recieved her postcard yet! I hope she did by now though!

My darling babyboy ...

Yesterday, when taking a break from working very hard on my ballet sweater (I have the back done and the right side of the front started yeah!) I came back to find this:

I want to knit too mama!

Yeah, I'm pretty cute!

And I think I might be crafty ...

K

K is for knitting ...

For lack of a picture of myself, I insert my babyboy "knitting" instead LOL!

Ballet sweater ...

newest project.
I am making this one for my 3 year old dd. It is a shade of blue ... when I asked her what color she wanted it to be, she requested "bluish orange" Ummm ... yeah, so I went with blue. I *think this shade will match her eyes pretty well but I'll hold it up tomorrow and see if that is true!
I am positively making hte sweater. She wants the tu-tu and the leg warmers too ... but we'll see. I will be making a pink one for my 6 year old next. She also wants a tu-tu and leg warmers as well. Well, I have promised them the sweaters at least ... we'll see about the rest later! LOL

Things to come ...

I have a lot of projects bouncing around in that little head of mine these days LOL!!
However, what I still don't have is a baby sweater pattern. I think I will have to step back for a while and see what hits me honestly. We'll see ... honestly the good news is that it is currently too warm here to put a sweater on my babyboy so that takes off the pressure.
I did knit a scarf for my dd this weekend - hoping to get pictures tomorrow of it. And I am working on a little stuffed airplane for babyboy right now. And with quilting class starting soon I am going to make a tote to take to class. Fun projects for fun things coming!!
Yeah!

J is for ...

jigsaw!

how I get them done LOL!!!
Hey, a momma's gotta do what a momma's gotta do to have some fun ;-)
